Jewel Anderson (LPC, NCC) is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She believes relationships are the catalyst for both pain and change. Therefore, Jewel utilizes Attachment Theory (a way to understand our interpersonal relationships) and Psychodynamic Therapy (relies heavily on the client-counselor relationship to access change) to build a strong alliance with her clients. She focuses on using empathy to understand her clients, while also offers strong support and challenge through love. Jewel’s hope is to create a safe and trusting environment where clients can be authentic with their vulnerabilities and not feel judged.
Jewel is a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator for premarital counseling and loves working with individuals and couples. Jewel’s education includes a B.A. in Art Education from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Masters of Arts in Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University.
